HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 99-297 RESOLUTION NO. -22-2.�2 WHEREAS, on February 16, 1999, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, awarded a contract to BoMac Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $1,046,504.63 for improvements to the Beaumont Fire Training Center; and WHEREAS, during the course of the project, Change Order No. 1 was approved by Council on July 27, 1999; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 was approved by Council on August 10, 1999; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $27,452 for added work as shown on attached Exhibit "A" PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the day of [I/ 1999. - Mayor - CITY OF BEAUMONT CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 DATE: September 27, 1999 PROJECT: IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BEAUMONT FIRE TRAINING CENTER OWNER: CITY OF BEAUMONT CONTRACTOR: BOMAC CONTRACTORS, INC. THE FOLLOWING CHANGES IN THE PLANS AND/OR SPECIFICATIONS ARE HEREBY MADE: Amend the scope of the project to add pay items to the contract: 11 Install 160 LF 18" Corrugated Plastic Pipe, 12 LF 36" Reinforced Concrete Pipe and 1500 CY Select Fill to facilitate drainage between Project Area no. 4 and the south levee of the Drafting Pond. Estimated cost: $24,348. 2) Fill the base of the new Fire Water Pump with non-shrink grout to prevent vibration damage to the pump base and the floor of the pump pit during pump operation. Estimated cost: $2,467. 3) Revise 4" pipe casings at Fire Extinguisher Project Area to facilitate easier installation of process piping. Estimated cost: $449. 4) Add welding to 36" Pipe Nozzle at the north sump to improve strength and liquid holding integrity. Estimated cost: $188. ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT: $1,046,504.63 NET FROM PREVIOUS CHANGE ORDERS: $ 38,825.00 TOTAL AMOUNT OF THIS CHANGE ORDER: $ 27.452.00 PERCENT CHANGE OF THIS CHANGE ORDER: 2.62% TOTAL PERCENT CHANGE TO DATE: 6.33% NEW CONTRACT AMOUNT: $1,112,781.63 CONTRACT TIME IS NOT AFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE ORDER.
