WHEREAS bids were received on August 2, 1999 for an annual contract for
purchasing ready mix concrete for use by the Public Works and Water Utilities
Departments; and,
WHEREAS, Transit Mix, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the amount of $47
per cubic yard with an estimated total expenditure of $47,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Transit Mix,
Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix, Beaumont, Texas in the amount of$47 per cubic
yard with an estimated total expenditure of$47,000 for purchasing ready mix concrete for
use by the Public Works and Water Utilities Departments be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
1999.
