WHEREAS bids were received on Monday, June 14, 1999, for furnishing a 2,000
gallon water truck for the Public Works Department, Streets and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, Lawrence Marshall Chevrolet, Hempstead, Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of$55,070; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Lawrence
Marshall Chevrolet, Hempstead, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Lawrence Marshall Chevrolet, Hempstead, Texas for the
purchase of one (1) 2000 Chevrolet Model CC71-1042 cab and chassis equipped with an
Interpipe 2,000 gallon water tank in the amount of $55,070 be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the /3 .day of
1999.
