WHEREAS, the lawsuit of the State of Texas v Joe F. Ball, et al has been discussed in
an Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, August 14, 2001; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of the State of
Texas v Joe F. Ball, et al in the amount of Eighteen Thousand Seven-Hundred Ninety-one
($18,791) Dollars payable to the State of Texas.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 21st day of August,
2001.
