WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Leah Marie Scott v Samuel Lee Walton and the City of
Beaumont has been discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held on June
12, 2001; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the claim of Leah Marie
Scott v Samuel Lee Walton and the City of Beaumont in the amount of Six-Thousand Five-
Hundred ($6,500) Dollars.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 31 st day of
July, 2001.
