WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of one(1)truck cab and chassis for
use by the Public Works Department, Parks Division; and,
WHEREAS, Smart's Truck and Trailer, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of$78,193.36; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Smart's Truck
and Trailer, Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Smart's Truck and Trailer, Beaumont, Texas, for the purchase
of one (1) Volvo cab and chassis for use by the Public Works Department, Parks Division
in the amount of$78,193.36 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 31 st day of July,
2001.
