ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
99-50 TO ALLOW OWNERS OF THE GUEST INN HOTEL,
2525 N. 11TH STREET, TO LEASE THE BANQUET ROOMS
OF THE HOTEL WHICH ARE LOCATED IN THE SAME AREA
AS THE NIGHT CLUB; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 99-50, July 13, 1999,
declaring the Guest Inn Hotel, 2525 North Eleventh Street, Beaumont, Texas, to be a
public nuisance and ordering it closed pending correction of deficiencies; and,
WHEREAS, the current owners have requested permission to lease the banquet
rooms of the hotel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Ordinance No. 99-50 is hereby amended to allow the current owners to lease the
banquet rooms of the hotel which are located in the same area as the night club.
