WHEREAS, on September 21, 1999, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, awarded a contract to Excavators Constructors, Inc. in the amount of
$5,024,678.32 for the Concord Road Pavement Widening Delaware Outfall Contract II A
Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of($432,944.15)was required for
cost-saving measures; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in the amount of ($131,072.12) is required to
adjust the estimated quantities during performance of the project, decreasing the contract
to $4,460,662.05;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
2 in the amount of($131,072.12) to adjust the estimated quantities during performance of
the project, decreasing the contract to $4,460,662.05. The project, as stated above, be
and the same is herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
make final payment in the amount of$307,143.18 to be paid to Excavators Constructors,
Inc.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the 19th day of
June, 2001.
