WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of clamps, pipe and manholes ;
and,
WHEREAS, Industrial Utility Sales Co., Inc., Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of $16,470 for the purchase of full circle clamps and Golden Triangle Pipe,
Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of $349,067.80 for the purchase of 24"
polyethylene pipe and fiber glass manholes; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Industrial Utility
Sales Co., Inc., Houston, Texas, and Golden Triangle Pipe, Beaumont, Texas should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Industrial Utility Sales Co., Inc., Houston, Texas, in the amount
of$16,470 for the purchase of full circle clamps and by Golden Triangle Pipe, Beaumont,
Texas in the amount of $349,067.80 for the purchase of 24" polyethylene pipe and fiber
glass manholes be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 19th day of
June, 2001.
