WHEREAS, on March 27, 2001, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, awarded a contract to N&T Construction Co., Inc.for the construction of the
Theodore R. Johns, Sr. Branch Library in the amount of$1,689,000; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$29,233.88 is required to
excavate and remove concrete debris containing material, increasing the contract
to $1,718,233.99;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order
No. 1 in the amount of $29,233.88 to excavate and remove concrete debris
containing material, increasing the contract to $1,718,233.99.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the 12th
day of June, 2001.
