WHEREAS, bids were received for a contract to repair and paint the
1,000,000 gallon elevated water storage tank located at Liberty Avenue and 13th Street;
and,
WHEREAS, Gulf States Protective Coatings, Inc., LaPorte, Texas., submitted a bid
in the amount of $318,400; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Gulf States
Protective Coatings, Inc., LaPorte, Texas., should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Gulf States Protective Coatings, Inc., LaPorte, Texas in the
amount of $318,400 for a contract to repair and paint the 1,000 gallon elevated water
storage tank located at Liberty Avenue and 13th Street be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 5th day of June,
2001.
