WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of two (2) twenty (20) cubic yard
rear-loading refuse collection trucks; and,
WHEREAS, Philpott Ford, Nederland, Texas, submitted a bid in the amount of
$131,932, and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Philpott Ford,
Nederland, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Philpott Ford, Nederland, Texas, for the purchase of two (2)
Ford Model F750 trucks equipped with Pakmor twenty (20) cubic yard refuse collection
bodies in the amount of $131,932 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
May, 2001.
