WHEREAS, bids were received for a contract to furnish all labor, materials,
equipment and supplies necessary to construct a 2,000 square foot addition to the R. C.
Miller Memorial Branch Library; and,
WHEREAS, H. B. Neild & Sons, Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of $387,976;
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by H. B. Neild &
Sons, Inc., should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid in the amount of $387,976 submitted by H. B. Neild & Sons, Inc., for a
contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to construct a
2,000 square foot addition to the R. C. Miller Memorial Branch Library be accepted by the
City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 8th day of May,
2001.
