WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of an annual insurance policy for
fire, flood and extended coverage insurance for City owned property; and,
WHEREAS, Marsh USA, Inc. through Zurich American Insurance Company,
submitted a bid in the amount of$141,549; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Marsh USA, Inc.
through Zurich American Insurance Company, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid in the amount of $141,549 submitted by Marsh USA, Inc. through Zurich
American Insurance Company, for the purchase of an annual insurance policy for fire,
flood and extended coverage insurance for City owned property be accepted by the City
of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 1 st day of May,
2001.
