WHEREAS, sealed bids were received for an annual contract for the purchase of
liquid chlorine for use by the Public Works Department, Water Utilities Division; and,
WHEREAS, DXI Industries, Inc., of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid for the
purchase of liquid chlorine at the cost of $251.80 per ton; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by DXI Industries,
Inc., should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by DXI Industries, Inc., for an annual contract for the purchase of
liquid chlorine at the cost of$251.80 per ton be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 24th day of
April, 2001.
