WHEREAS, bids were received for the installation of a 16-inch sanitary sewer force
main to serve the prison complex; and,
WHEREAS, Fuqua General Contractors, Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of
$1,183,985.12; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Fuqua General
Contractors, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Fuqua General Contractors, Inc. for the installation of a 16-
inch sanitary sewer force main to serve the prison complex in the in the amount of
$1,183,985.12 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute a contract for such project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 27th day of
March, 2001.
