WHEREAS, bids were received for a six (6) month contract for the purchase of
sodium hydroxide for use by the Public Works Department, Water Utilities Division; and,
WHEREAS,Altivia of Houston,Texas, submitted a bid in the unit amount of$363.58
per dry ton with an estimated total contract expenditure of$109,074; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Altivia of
Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Altivia of Houston, Texas, for a six (6) month contract for the
purchase of sodium hydroxide for use by the Public Works Department, Water Utilities
Division in the unit amount of $363.58 per dry ton with an estimated total contract
expenditure of$109,074 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 20th day of
February, 2001.
