WHEREAS, on January 25, 2000, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with Brystar Contracting, Inc. for the
Franklin Street Pavement Widening Project in the amount of$763,067.20; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$63,186.46 is required to add
the changes in the scope of the work and to adjust construction quantities actually used
during performance of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of$63,186.46 to adjust the estimated quantities to add the changes in the
scope of the work and to adjust construction quantities actually used during performance
of the project. The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein accepted and the
City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment in the amount of
$90,719.51 to be paid to Brystar Contracting, Inc.
