BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Resolution No. 00-304, passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont on
November 28, 2000, authorizing the City Manager and the Chief of Police to apply for a
Violence Against Women Act grant is amended to read as follows:
To authorize the Chief of Police and the City Manager to
execute all documents necessary to submit to CJD an
application for a Violence Against Women Act grant to fund
the case specialist position at the Family Violence Task Force.
The City of Beaumont commits to provide any applicable cash
match required to receive the grant funds. In the event of loss
or misuse of CJD funds, the City of Beaumont will return all
funds to CJD.
