WHEREAS bids were received for a three (3)-month contract for the purchase of
personal computers and laptop computers; and,
WHEREAS, Personal Computer Depot, Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the unit
amount of$1,139 for a total cost of$60,367 for a three (3)-month contract for the purchase
of 53 personal computers; and,
WHEREAS, Gateway, north Sioux City, South Dakota, submitted a bid in the unit
amount of$2,174 for a total cost of$23,914 for a three (3)-month contract for the purchase
of eleven (11) laptop computers; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Personal
Computer Depot, Houston, Texas and the bid submitted by Gateway, North Sioux City,
South Dakota, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Personal Computer Depot, Houston, Texas in the unit amount
of$1,139 for a total cost of$60,367 for a three (3)-month contract for the purchase of 53
personal computers and that the bid submitted by Gateway, North Sioux City, South
Dakota in the unit amount of $2,174 for a total cost of $23,914 for a three (3)-month
contract for the purchase of eleven (11) laptop computers for a total combined cost fgr 53
personal gomputers and eleven (11) laptop computers in the estimated amount of$84,281
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
