WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Gilbert Michael Eaves v. City of Beaumont has been
discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held on March 7, 2000; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the claim of Gilbert
Michael Eaves v. City of Beaumont in the amount of One hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
($125,000) Dollars.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the� day
