WHEREAS bids were received for an auctioneering services contract for the annual
fleet and surplus equipment auction; and,
WHEREAS, Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc., McKinney, Texas, submitted a bid of
3.489% of gross sales collected at the annual fleet and surplus equipment auction; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Rene Bates
Auctioneers, Inc., McKinney, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc., McKinney, Texas for a two (2)
year contract with an option to renew for one additional year under the same terms and
conditions, at a cost to the City of 3.489% of gross sales collected at the annual fleet and
surplus equipment auction be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
2000.
