WHEREAS bids were received for a six (6) month contract for the purchase of
sodium hydroxide; and,
WHEREAS, DX Distributors, Inc., Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the unit
amount of$182 per dry ton with an estimated total contract period expenditure of $54,600;
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by DX Distributors,
Inc., Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by DX Distributors, Inc., Houston, Texas for a six (6) month
contract for the purchase of sodium hydroxide in the unit amount of$182 per dry ton with
an estimated total contract period expenditure of $54,600 be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the,-<5 day of
2000.
