WHEREAS, on September 21, 1999, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, awarded Excavators and Constructors, Inc. the contract for Concord Road
Pavement Widening Delaware Outfall Contract IIA Project in the amount of$5,024,678.32;
and,
WHEREAS, during the course of the project, Change Order No. 1 is required in the
amount of$432,944.15 which decreases the contract amount to $4,591,734.17; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of$432,944.15 decreasing the City's contract amount to $4,591,734.17.
