BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, on December 21, 1999, the City Council enacted Resolution No. 99-
385 authorizing participation with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in
construction of frontage roads on IH-10; and,
WHEREAS, such agreement provided for the payment of approximately $3,800,000
by the City for such project; and,
WHEREAS, Texas Department of Transportation (TX DOT) intends to seek
additional funding which would reduce the City of Beaumont's share of the construction
cost to $1,000,000:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
THAT the City presently has available and allocated to this project the amount of
$1,000,000 and supports the efforts of the Texas Department of Transportation to modify
the funding of the project if possible such that the City's share of the construction cost
would be $1,000,000.
