BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Council hereby approves the adoption of a "20 year any age" retirement
with the Texas Municipal Retirement System with a one-time medical benefit incentive for
all employees except Fire. The incentive is the payment of fifty (50) per cent of the
retiree's health insurance rate for one year after retirement for those employees who give
notice to the City between July 1, 2000 and September 30, 2000 of their intent to retire
between October 1, 2000 and January 31, 2001.
