WHEREAS, on June 6, 2000, by Resolution No. 00-138, City Council authorized the
acceptance of a conveyance by Chevron Pipeline Company of a tract of land for
construction of the proposed New Perlstein Park; and
WHEREAS, Lot 18, Block 21, Gulf Terrace Addition, was inadvertently omitted from
the property description contained in Resolution No. 00-138;
WHEREAS, Council authorization is again requested for the City to accept the
conveyance by Chevron Pipeline Company of a 5.789 acre tract of land out of Lots 6
through 11 and Lots 18 through 23, Block 21, and Lots 1 through 4 and Lots 19 and 20,
Block 22, of the Gulf Terrace Addition, for construction of the proposed New Perlstein Park
as described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purpose of said conveyance and
is of the opinion that the acceptance of said conveyance of property is necessary and
desirable and that same should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to accept the conveyance by
Chevron Pipeline Company of a 5.789 acre tract of land out of Lots 6 through 11 and Lots

18 through 23, Block 21, and Lots 1 through 4 and Lots 19 and 20, Block 22, of the Gulf
Terrace Addition, for the development of New Perlstein Park.
