WHEREAS, on October 5, 1998, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded Hart Construction, Inc. the contract for the Concord Road Pavement Widening
Phase I Project in the amount of $2,692,324.26; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of ($108,776.29) is required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 to adjust the estimated quantities to reflect the quantities actually used during the
performance of the project decreasing the contract amount by $108,776.29 for a new
contract amount of $2,583,547.97. The project, as stated above, be and the same is
herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final
payment in the amount of $132,493.93 to be paid to Hart Construction, Inc.
