WHEREAS, on August 14, 2000, bids were received for furnishing all labor, materials,
equipment, insurance and supplies to remove and dispose of asbestos materials in the Streets and
Drainage office building; and,
WHEREAS, Vance Insulation Abatement of Webster, Texas, submitted a bid in the amount
of $20,911 plus $3.50 per linear foot for the removal of approximately 110 feet of non-asbestos
containing air conditioning duct; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Vance Insulation
Abatement of Webster, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Vance Insulation Abatement of Webster, Texas, for furnishing all labor,
equipment, insurance and supplies to remove and dispose of asbestos materials in the Streets and
Drainage office building in the amount of $20,911 plus $3.50 per linear foot for the removal of
approximately 110 feet of non-asbestos containing air conditioning duct be accepted by the City
of Beaumont.
