WHEREAS, bids were received for a one-year contract for third-party administration
of the City's self-insured workers' compensation program; and,
WHEREAS, Ward North America, Inc., submitted a bid in the lump sum amount of
$59,000 for the initial contract period effective October 1, 2000 and extension if granted
for a second year and an amount of $61,950 for the third and fourth years if granted an
extension; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Ward North
America, Inc., should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Ward North America, Inc., for third-party administration of the
City's self-insured workers' compensation program in the lump sum amount of$59,000 for
the initial contract period and extension if granted for a second year and the administrative
cost for the third and fourth years if granted an extension for an amount of $61,950 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 1,;V4 day of
2000.
