ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING A PORTION OF
A 4-FOOT WIDE PLATTED ALLEY LYING BETWEEN LOT 8,
BLOCK 87, CARTWRIGHT ADDITION AND LOTS 8, 9, 10
AND PART OF LOT 11, BLOCK 10, ARLINGTON ADDITION
IN THE 2900 BLOCK OF NECHES STREET, BEAUMONT,
TEXAS, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR
THE RETENTION OF A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THATall of that part of a 4-foot wide platted alley extending from the east right-of-way line
of the Neches Street 60 foot wide right-of-way 150 feet east to the west line of a 20 foot
wide alley; thence an additional 10 feet to the centerline of said 20 foot wide alley; said
alley to be abandoned situated north of Lots 8, 9, 10 and part of Lot 11, Block 10, Arlington
Addition and south of the west half of Block 87, Cartwright Addition, containing 0.015
acres, more or less, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, is hereby abandoned.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a general utility easement is to be retained by the City
of Beaumont to serve the utilities in the abandoned alley.
